We are seeking a proactive and reliable individual to join our busy and supportive team as a Facilities Assistant / Carpenter at St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School.
Our facilities team contributes to the positive educational environment for our students, families and staff.
The role
The Facilities Assistant / Carpenter works as part of the facilities team to maintain the functionality, safety and presentation of the School’s buildings, grounds and assets.
Some examples of the responsibilities of the role include:
- Minor carpentry and general repairs across the school
- General building maintenance including basic plumbing, patching, painting and fixture installation
- Supporting contractor coordination for specialist maintenance tasks
- Assisting with swimming pool operations
- Event and function setup and pack down
- Traffic marshalling support during peak school times
- General grounds and facilities duties
About you
- Relevant trade qualification
- Excellent understanding of WH&S practices and procedures
- You will have a high level of energy
- Physical capability to perform tasks in an outdoor environment
- Positive can-do attitude
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- An eye for detail
