We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure and Systems Engineer to join our Shared Services IT team. Working across two school campuses, this full-time permanent role provides advanced technical expertise across on-premise and cloud infrastructure, networking, security and systems administration.

The Role
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager and working closely with the Chief Information Officer, this position plays a critical role in ensuring our multi-site technology environment is robust, secure and aligned to the evolving needs of both school communities.
This is a hands-on, technically focused role suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy and the opportunity to influence continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintain and support core IT infrastructure across two campuses.
- Administer Microsoft 365, cloud services and identity systems.
- Implement and monitor security controls and assist with incident response.
- Act as senior technical escalation for complex issues.
- Deliver technical components of IT projects.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to system improvements.
- Support key education technologies and integrations.
About You
You will bring:
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in IT systems or infrastructure roles.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or Computer Science, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Industry certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, networking).
- Strong technical capability across:
- Windows server environments
- SharePoint Online (Design and Management)
- Microsoft 365 and cloud services
- Networking and Wi-Fi technologies
- Identity, authentication and SSO
- Backup, recovery and storage solutions
- Cyber security fundamentals
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-domain technical issues.
- Experience supporting and improving enterprise or multi-site IT environments.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate professional boundaries and standards when working with children and young people.
